Terms and Conditions

This policy explains how to cancel or reschedule a private lesson, request a lesson-pack refund, or withdraw from a group course. It applies to paid consumer lessons and group courses arranged directly with Hyunju Cha, trading as Korean Slang School. It does not apply to the free 20-minute trial.

All cancellation deadlines are measured using Prague local time. This policy does not limit any mandatory rights available under Czech or European Union law.

1. Private lessons

• Give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. A new time is subject to availability. If a single lesson was paid separately, you may request a refund instead.
• A lesson from a prepaid pack cancelled on time is returned to the pack, but the original expiry date does not change.
• A cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice or a no-show is charged in full and counts as a used lesson.
• Genuine illness or an emergency may be considered case by case. Any waiver is discretionary and does not create an automatic entitlement for future cancellations.
• If you arrive late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time.

2. Prepaid lesson packs

Lesson packs are valid for 6 months from payment. Any voluntary refund request must be received before the pack expires.

Refund calculation

Amount paid minus 700 CZK for every completed or late-cancelled lesson.

The refund will never be less than zero. For example:

• Four-lesson pack after one used lesson: 2,600 − 700 = 1,900 CZK.
• Eight-lesson pack after two used lessons: 5,000 − 1,400 = 3,600 CZK.

If Hyunju cancels a lesson, you can reschedule it or request a refund for that lesson. It does not consume pack credit.

3. Group courses

Voluntary cancellation refunds are based on the number of calendar days before the first scheduled class:

• 14 or more days: full refund.
• 7–13 days: 50% refund.
• 0–6 days: no voluntary refund.

No voluntary refund is available after the course starts.

• Missed classes are not eligible for a partial refund.
• If Hyunju cancels the course before it starts, you will receive a full refund.
• If Hyunju cannot complete a course, the undelivered portion is refunded unless replacement classes are agreed with you.

4. Statutory withdrawal rights

If you agree to a service contract online, by phone, or by email, you generally have a legal right to withdraw within 14 days of concluding the contract without giving a reason. Exceptions may apply under Czech or European Union law.

If you expressly ask for lessons to begin during that 14-day period and later withdraw, you may need to pay for the services already provided. This commercial policy never limits any mandatory rights you have under applicable law.

I hereby withdraw from the contract for [service], concluded on [date]. My name is [name] and my contact details are [details].

5. Refund requests and disputes

To cancel, reschedule, withdraw, or request a refund, email hyunju@krslang.school. Include your name and enough information to identify the lesson, pack, or course.

Approved refunds are processed within 14 days to the original payment method unless another method is agreed.

Please contact Hyunju first so the issue can be resolved directly. If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved, you may contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority for alternative dispute resolution.
